Yes — Kekar is currently free. Story generation, TTS, document reading, and the voice library are all available at no cost. We may introduce a premium tier in the future for advanced features.
Do I need an account to generate stories?
No account is needed to create and listen to stories. However, signing up lets you save your history permanently, create custom voices, and access your library across devices.
Which file formats does the Reader support?
PDF, Word (.doc/.docx), Excel (.xls/.xlsx/.csv), plain text (.txt), and images (.png, .jpg, .webp). Maximum file size is 50 MB.
Why is audio generation slow sometimes?
Our AI models run on HuggingFace's free inference tier. During peak hours, models may take 20–30 seconds to warm up. For documents, audio is generated in the background via a queue — you'll see a status indicator update automatically.
Can I request a new language?
